3 Tips to Get Rid of Facial Fat

For starters, let us concede that diet and exercise alone do help in the reduction of fat for specific body spots. But it’s still difficult to get rid of facial fat.

Targeting specific problem areas would be much better, such as spare tire, thighs, flabby arms or chubby cheeks. This would help in concentrating all effort on reducing the fat in the specific areas, which is good but unrealistic.

The following are methods of how to get rid of chubby cheeks.

1. Diet and exercise to burn general body fat

In the process of losing weight, fat is generally lost from all parts of the body. For an overweight person, dieting, combined with cardiovascular exercises on a regular basis, is effective in burning fat in the whole body. Some people experience a very remarkable difference while others very little.

2. Taking more water

Drinking at least eight glasses of pure water every day is a weight loss method that is proven to be effective. At times, thirst can be experienced as hunger and taking a lot of water will reduce the feeling of hunger and enable you to stop overeating and eventually lose fat.

A face that appears chubby could be caused by bloating, which is another reason for one to drink a lot of water. Bloating is caused by water retention in the body, a response mechanism if the body feels deprived of fluids. This problem is common in women, particularly pre-menopausal or those who have just had babies.

3. Firming up the face

Most people question the effectiveness of facial exercises, but it would be good to try it for several weeks or a few months to establish if the method has an effect on your face. Keep in mind that the objective is to firm and tighten the skin and not spot reduction of fat because that is not possible.

Here is a popular method of double chin firming: Slap or tap your chin’s bottom using the back of the hand with rapid and firm movements. Repeat this as often as possible, whenever the thought crosses your mind.

Cheeks: In a relaxed sitting position, smile but keeps the lips closed. Suck your cheeks in. Keep holding in to the count of 8 seconds. Repeat about 10 times relaxing after each cycle. This can be conveniently done when driving because you do not need your hands to do it. Smiling widely, as much as you can with your lips closed is another good cheek exercise.
