Guay-Guay has done it again and living up to the expectations of Airsofters with their G&G M14 EBR Sniper Rifle. Although G&G or Guay-Guay designed this rifle as a sniper rifle, it can also be used as a support rifle like an Airsoft machine gun.
Despite the fact that such rifles are heavy for more durability, the G&G M14 is actually lightweight with its chassis built with CNC machined aluminum but does not compromise its durability. It has reinforced barrel for stabilization and a functional bolt and catch and release. The release of this gun has been much anticipated by airsoft sniper rifle enthusiasts.
The G&G M14 features a full rail attachments with rails located at both sides and bottom part of the front barrel and a longer one on the top for accessories like a bi-pod, flashlight and of course, being a sniper rifle, a high magnifying optical zoom scope.
The stock of this rifle is fully adjustable up to 5 inches to fit even those wearing armor. A built-in cheek rest is also located on the stock and its height can be adjusted to a maximum of 3 inches with just a few poking of locks.
The battery is comfortably located at the hand guard at the bottom of the barrel. Although a little cumbersome to attach, which requires unscrewing six screws, the battery fits snugly and hidden away by the hand guard from getting damaged. A nun chuck type battery can be placed on the compartment with still some room to spare.
The pistol grip is remarkably durable unlike other rifles where the pistol grip tends to wobble after several usages. Magazine of the G&G M14 is a box type magazine and can hold 470 rounds. The gearbox is pretty solid and can output a muzzle velocity of 400 feet per second. Although an existing 8.4v socket is already built-in under the hand guard, it is not recommended to attach that type of battery on it just to be on the safe side. Another thing, G&G admittedly is not recommending not using a Lithium Polymer battery because the gearbox is not built for it.
Nonetheless, the G&G M14 sniper rifle is a perfect weapon to master for any Airsoft sniper rifle. I recommend this rifle for only novice Airsoft players due to the complexity of the gun and the unusual construction of the rails.
